Dr Joanne Cunliffe

Dr Joanne Cunliffe qualified from Leeds in 1991, after which she undertook 4 years of hospital work in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

She then took some time to travel and, on her return, went into general practice for 9 years; 5 of which she owned a practice.

Dr Cunliffe then returned to Manchester to undertake Specialist Restorative training. During this time, she undertook a PhD looking at periodontal disease and dental aesthetics. She qualified as a restorative consultant in 2008 and took a post as a head and neck oral rehabilitation consultant for 5 years.

After Dr Cunliffe completed her PhD she moved over to the University of Manchester to be a full time clinical academic (Senior Lecturer/Honorary Restorative Consultant). She runs the endodontic course and her area of specialist interest is surgical endodontics and implants.
